Financial Stuff

Here's a list of helpful books, blogs, websites, articles that breaks down the financial aspect of going back to school.

Debt-Free U Zac Bissonnette
Bissonnette is the Doogie-Howser of finance.  He managed to graduate college without taking any loans.  Yeah, no loans - no debts. Although this book is geared towards prospective college students, there are some helpful tips for grad students. More importantly, the beginning of the book digs deep in what FASA is and how it works.

And Then She Saved
"And Then She Saved" is the brilliant brain-blog of Anna Newell Jones is a freelance photographer in Denver who managed to pay off $18,000 in debt in ONE YEAR (!!) and was featured on CNN.Money at the beginning of 2011. Her blog, "And Then She Saved" features her guidelines for a 'Spending Fast' and a 'Spending Diet' which outlines various ways to not spend anything or cut back on the spending. Going back to a student budget terrifies me but I sure love a good save.  My favorite Jones tip is making your own laundry detergent.  SO easy!

FAFSA
The official Free Application for Federal Student Aid. There seems to be a lot of confusing sites that look like the FAFSA website but are actually companies that require payment to fill out the FASA form for you. Don't get hoodwinked! The application process is VERY simple and takes less than 10 minutes to fill it out.
